Faith Fancher was a San Francisco newswoman who was taken early by breast cancer, about 5 years ago. Before she left, she made all her friends promise to do all they could to help breast cancer victims and eradicate the disease. Hence the birth of the Faith Fancher 5K.
I am putting together a team called The Lake Merritt Walkers to raise money for the event, which occurs on August 16, 2008. Of course, I will be participating.
Rick Ellison and I participated in the walk some years ago when it first began. It wasn't very well organized then. It is now.
